    This video examines steady state conduction and convection heat transfer using the example of a heat sink assembly over a microprocessor. Using 3D geometry created in Autodesk Inventor software, the video demonstrates how to import the assembly into Autodesk Simulation Multiphysics in order to evaluate the heat transfer. It shows how to mesh the 3D model, define material types, and set the boundary conditions. Video 6.4 continues this process and demonstrates how to solve and view results.
